A cracking Christmas
We feature some great Christmas guest ales that are brewed just for the season along with steaming mulled wine. Mix these with our roaring open fire, our cosy surroundings and our friendly bar team, and we really have a recipe for a fantastic Christmas.
As always, there’ll be a lively and friendly atmosphere full of festive cheer making it the perfect place for your Christmas meal. Our delicious 2 or 3 course menu oozes festive flavours combining all things traditional along with some new and original dishes.
Menu
Our Christmas menu will run from Friday 28th of November to Wednesday 24th December 2025 alongside our normal menu.
Booking & Pre order
Booking is required when dining from our Christmas menu (along with a pre-order for tables of 6 or more). Christmas bookings must be made by telephone or in person, unfortunately they cannot be booked through our online system. Please call 0151 336 3931 or pop into the pub to check availability and book your table.
A credit card is required at the point of booking to secure your reservation. Your card will not be charged but retained as a guarantee.
Pre- order - A pre-order will be required no later than 7 days before your sitting. You can submit your pre order online (a link will be emailed to you).
Cancellations – Cancellations before the booking date will be charged at £10 per head and cancellations/no shows on the day will be charged at full price.
Large Party Bookings
Our online booking system will allow bookings for a maximum of 6 people. If you would like to book for more than this then please give the pub a call on 0151 336 3931 to discuss your requirements.
A little thank you....
We know how tricky it can be to organise a Christmas party so by way of thank you for your custom we are giving a £50 voucher to the booker to use in the new year on food, drink or accommodation. For parties of 10 people or more. All diners must be dining from the set Christmas menu.

We will happily suggest some options for wines and champagnes if you would like to organise these in advance of your party, please just ask if you want some help choosing!
